I took an attempt to find a workaround. However, I failed. I will continue later today and if I find anything I will let you know.

Sorry @dit but we do not have any plans on changing nestedHeaders handling in this month.

We’ll have a great update tomorrow for the columnSorting (version 6.0.0) (new UI, API, multi-column sorting).
I have asked the developer who has made the changes to examine the Github #4899

I just tested the issue with our new release and unfortunately it does not work. The issue is left for further investigation.
