Remove HTML tags in dropdownmenu filter

How could we strip HTML tags in the “filter by value” options? There is a JSfiddle example: http://jsfiddle.net/57m8z66L/.

Unfortunately Handsontable doesn’t offer any option to accomplish this goal yet.

And is there any trick to overwrite the filter value label? Because Handsontable filters using the content of the label, doesn’t it?

Filers Plugin is actually pretty solid right now. I think that the only way would be to create a custom dropdown menu option.
