Bootstrap Dropdown Buttons in Handsontable

Hello,

I’m trying to use Bootstrap drop down buttons in cells in Handsontable. I am inserting the HTML with the HTML render into the needed cells but the dropdown doesn’t function right.

Is there a way to make this work with Handsontable? I know Handsontable offers dropdowns but I have a few reasons I’d like to try and make it work with Bootstrap dropdowns.

I do not have a demo like that in my demobase. Can you share your latest progress in a JSFiddle? I’ll debug it and check what can be done.

Okay…I tried to get it put into JSFiddle…I’m having several problems. I am trying to use the bootstrap buttons to activate a jquery ui dialog. https://jsfiddle.net/8ehg4wu5/1/

Problems I’m having are below:

  1. Typing/Double Clicking allows editing of cell and erasing the button. Is there a way to make it just click the button? Screenshot: https://imgur.com/BJiW0P9

  2. If the button is in the cell and clicked the jquery dialog won’t open but if I copy the HTML and past outside of Handsontable it opens fine? Screenshot: https://imgur.com/eTo3kdJ

  3. Column/Row Titles appear over the jquery ui? I’ve tried doing z-index etc…Screenshot: https://imgur.com/65Io7Os

I’ve never posted anything on jsfiddle…and this is built off a complex backend so trying to find a way to model it in a way that was static was a little difficult. Sorry for the delay in response…

If it would be easier for you you can .zip the project and send it over?
Actually is this is a request for a custom use of Handsontable (not supported officially) can you please send the .zip and the license ID to my email (support@handsontable.com)?
