[GH #2931] Column resize handle misaligned when using CSS zoom on table

I am having the same issue as described in this thread but it was closed with no way to track any progress or else on this issue. On Github I could not find any ticket that immediately points to the underlying issue. Maybe I am overlooking something?

How can I track if this issue is solved, has workarounds, is a wontfix etc?

We attach css zoom like this: ('#table1').css('zoom', newZoomFactor);

and get a misaligned handle looking like this for example at 0.95 zoom factor:
