is grouping of rows and columns like excel possible in handsontable ?

have you already tried Nested Rows? If not those work pretty much the same as rows grouping in Excel. You can test it here https://handsontable.com/docs/7.2.2/demo-nested-rows.html

When it comes to headers the feature is called Nested Headers and the demo is available here https://handsontable.com/docs/7.2.2/demo-nested-headers.html
