Since handsontable has dropped support for backbone.js, are there any suitable replacements that do the same thing? Maybe spine.js? Any help would be appreciated!

It states that the Vue and React also do the job. It is definitely not a subject in which I am an expert but we constantly update our wrappers and are planning to update Vue and React in summer. Maybe one of these can work better than Backbone.
I suppose that it will take a lot of work to rebuild your app, but on the other hand, I am sure that some of the cool libraries are supporting Vue and React as well.
