HTML CustomRenderer causes the Filters to stop working

Hi, I am building a table with a custom cell renderer so the filter does not show the HTML code. Below are the renderer and code for the table and some examples of the filtering outcome, any ideas what I’m doing wrong and how the filtering can be made to work correctly?
