Is Developer Edition Upgradable and information about not renewing license

Hi,
Our team would likely to purchase Handsontable Pro(Developer) and we have some questions that we would like to know about:
1.If the developer edition is upgradable?
2.Can we still use handsontable even we didn’t renew our license?
3.What are the consequences if we didn’t renew our license?

PS: we will be using angular2 handsontable wrapper.
