Problems upgrading from HOT 2.0.0 to 7.4.2

We are trying to upgrade to the latest version, but we’re getting a lot of errors and things have stopped to work. Is there any upgrading guide?

We upgraded:
“handsontable”: “^2.0.0” to “handsontable”: “^7.4.2”
“react-handsontable”: “^0.3.2” to “@handsontable/react”: “^3.1.2”

These are some of the errors we get with the latest version:

  • Browser console says: “The provided element is not a child of the top overlay”
  • Events like click or enter text in cell are not more working
  • When horizontal scrolling the grid, it messes up some columns, like shifting some data…

Hey @mirko

that is nearly 2 years of updates you want to jump over. Are you able to update to 6.2.2? That was the last version of the old Handsontable. Since 7.0.0 Handsontable merged with Handsontable PRO and become a paid solution.
