Is there a working example that uses a custom select2 (v4 preferably, data via ajax) editor and renderer with HOT 0.33?

I can see that Select2 latest version of Handsontable is 0.16.0 (src: https://github.com/trebuchetty/Handsontable-select2-editor) since version 0.16.0 there were many breaking changes. I do not think that this could work if you’d want to update to 0.33.0. However, I have seen that at StackOverflow some people are still writing about Select2. Maybe someone has managed to update Select2 accordingly to what is happening in Handsontable.
